Hi! I’m Liz Ward — the artist behind @tattooed.lizard on Instagram. From a young age I’ve been drawn to creating: watercolors, linocuts, and now your future tattoos. My journey began as a teenager creating Henna tattoos, teaching me to thrive under pressure while making meaningful art.

Studying scientific illustration at Arcadia University and sheer dumb luck led me into tattooing in 2004, and I haven’t looked back. Jack of all trades — equally at home in soft black and greys or bold American Traditional. Kids’ drawings and handwriting are favorites of mine to replicate, and I’m happiest tattooing birds and flowers.

In my private life I’m a mom, future wife, painter, birdwatcher, and scuba diver. I find inspiration in the natural world everywhere I go. You’re in a safe space in my chair — fly your freak flag here. Let’s chat about your new piece!
